When your doctor orders an investigation, they will usually advise you to book an appointment for the results follow-up. If the results require urgent action, your doctor or the practice nurse will contact you over the phone. For non-urgent results, you will receive a text message if you do not have an upcoming appointment within a 7 day period. After 7 days, if you have not made any appointments you will receive a second reminder. We will send you a letter as third attempt if you do not respond to those text messages, and if you do not contact the practice after the third attempt, the results reminder will be removed from our system.
